Arcade games, board games, daily food trucks, and its dog-friendly? Memphis Made Brewing has a lot going for them. Located in the hip up and coming Cooper-Young district of Memphis this brewery has great beers and a great laid back atmosphere.
First, let’s talk about food trucks. Ya’ll they ain’t got to be fancy to be good. The day we visited Memphis Made there was a little hot dog cart outside. I’m not a live and die by the dog kind of gal, I could take them or leave them. I was less than enthusiastic about having my only food choice to be a hot dog. After perusing the interesting menu, I realized that these ain’t no ordinary dogs and I proceeded to order a Memphis Belle. Locally made cheese dip, pickled onions, bacon, and Fritos. Fritos…y’all… FRIIIII TOOOOS…..on a hot dog. What have I been doing with my life that I haven’t been eating Fritos on my hot dogs? It was amazeballs!
This is just one more reason why I love breweries. Not only do they have their own business, but they are lifting up other small businesses in the community like food trucks and then I get to enjoy all that amazing cheesy hot doggy goodness. Gaze upon this menu…take it all in. Seriously…who made hot dogs fancy?
What did we drink?
Huggy Bear Brown Ale
Fireside Red Ale
Gonerfest 15 IPA
Cat Nap IPA
The beer was good. It wasn’t amazing. A great tap room experience can make up for that. Memphis Made has a chill, laid-back vibe where everyone can feel comfortable and have fun. They have food trucks, good music, friendly employees and tours. I’m going to knock them on their bar seats though. Seriously, Memphis…what’s up with the terrible metal stools? So many places we went to had these square monstrosities! Stop!!!!
