At the end of the Crosstown Parkway, jokingly referred to as “The Side Door Express” you will find Side Door Brewing Company in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Side Door was the city’s first brewery opening in December 2015. They have great beer, a dog-friendly patio and a convenient location for a quick stop.
Side Door is a quaint little brewery tucked into the Village Green industrial complex. It has a small bar along with another room that has more open seating. There is also a patio outside that is dog-friendly. While we visited early in the afternoon, it was quiet and the staff was entertaining. They have live music and food trucks throughout the week which lends its hand to a lively atmosphere.
At the time of our visit, Side Door had a variety of styles but leaned heavy towards Stouts and Porters. I was quite surprised that there were no IPA offerings, but it is heading towards winter and dark beer season. Side Door had a good selection of Saisons and Hefeweizens.
You can view their current tap list on Untappd

Knockers Nitro – Porter 6.5%
PB & Jelly – Porter 7%

The coup de gras was when we were treated to a taste of their Imperial Coffee Porter, Whiskey Jitters, that had been aged for 2 years. Talk about a knock out! This was an absolutely beautiful Porter! We also tried their most recent bottling of it, but it didn’t even begin to compare in taste. This is definitely one to grab and pop on the shelf for a bit!
Side Door does not have any food, but you can bring in food from outside sources. Check their website for their schedule of food trucks!
